Hi Richard, I am looking forward to seeing you in person when you are in the Seattle area. Good talent abounds, but great talent beholds those who love what they do and who's love respects those they behold.

Hello Richard! I enjoyed your website. I actually showed it to my nieces when I was home in Michigan after getting off of the phone with you and they said you were very pretty :) Anyway, Wade and I enjoyed your performance at the APAP showcase. I loved that you didn't even need a microphone and it felt like you were singing to a million people. You have a such a gracious way about you and the audience just loves you. You made me smile. All the way home Wade kept saying, "He's really charming and warm". Of course I agreed and added, "And what a singer too". I am so glad I finally got to see you in action. I just loved it! Love-Marnie

Dear Richard, During my recent stint as one of the music directors for the Richmond/Ermet AIDS Foundation "Help Is On The Way for the Holidays IV" at the Herbst Theater in San Francisco, Carol Channing, who was also a joy to work with, said she loves you and was so sorry you weren't able to be with us in the show. Peace & love, Houston

I caught Richard's show 2 years ago and still haven't lost the buzz I had while watching him. This man is remarkable in his ability to get into the skin of Carol Channing. I remember urging all my friends at the time to go see this show. And some of these were people who wouldn't, honestly, step foot in a cabaret; and a "drag" show? forget it.THIS IS NOT A DRAG SHOW! Richard's about art. Pure and simple. Don't miss him!

I'd make a point to see you whenever I'm in New York, but please come back down to Tampa Bay...there's a growing fan club here too!

Dear Richard You were wonderful tonight! It was really thrilling to see you in that space... When you said that you weren't singing with a microphone and we should imagine how it was when you (Carol) opened in Hello Dolly, well it was just a THRILLING moment. The two ladies behind me were saying, "This is wonderful!"... they meant that it was so wonderful to hear you singing without a mic... to have that real theatrical presentation... so personal and so big at the same time... I really felt I was there - in the past for a moment. You looked fabulous... there was one moment when you turned your head and looked up... did something and you truly looked so like Carol that if the two of you were standing side by side (she as she was younger) I don't think we could have told the two of you apart! I hope you get some really great work from tonight... I think people were very impressed with you... it just takes the right people, right? It was a great evening and had some really interesting conversations... Glad to catch up with Bobbie Horowitz too. Take care, Michelle

Dear Richard, How blessed we are by our blossoming friendship with you!! We know you by your welcoming smile, your open arms, your warm hospitality, your ready support, and the many causes that you have taken to heart and aided so well. We could only begin to know of your awesome talent! Before this past weekend, we had seen only bits and snatches of your "Carol", and we kept wanting more! Well, even though we got a little more at the APAP Showcase on Sunday night, we still haven't had nearly enough!!! You were absolutely marvelous--from the first second of your entrance until your final bow of the evening, and beyond. The smiles we were smiling from ear to ear carried us all the way home, as we were thrilled by the warm, loving, and "right on" portrayal of Ms. Channing. And, the generous spirit with which you included the audience showed us all such a wonderful time and made the whole theatre feel like family! In fact, it's easy to smile at the recollection of your performance, even now... What a voice! What a smile! What a talent! What an incredibly generous and accomplished performer, and what an incredibly generous man! Thank you for sharing your gifts with us all! Jean & Karen

Richard is proof positive that nothing takes the place of persistence. I've been watching Richard develop as an artist for nearly twenty years. Over time he has added layer after layer of fine silk to his character creating a warm, wonderful one of a kind act. In an industry of sharpies and frauds, Richard emerges as the real thing in a class of his own. He is a one man army who marches to his own drum, all the while, tirelessly keeping alive the essential and precious art form we lovingly call "Vaudeville". I am happy to write this heartfelt entry and delighted to be able to call Richard my good friend.

Wow! On December 21st Gloversville was given the gift of Richard Skipper. What a wonderful show! People are still raving about it. It was such a thrill to have your presence and phenominal talent, wit, charm, and brillance grace the Glove stage. You truly made the buiilding come to life and illunimated this town forever. I can tell you Mysteries on Main Street is out of "Just Lucky I Guess". They sold 15 copies Sunday morning and are reordering with people on the backorder list! You have inspired this tiny town and exposed people to the best the performing arts has to offer. With a tribute to the legendary Carol Channing that inspired, intrigued, educated and entertained. I am forever grateful for your spirit and great presence. We hope you can come back and help us raise $$$$ to restore a panel in our theatre, that can be dedicated to the life and spirit of Ms. Channing herself,as brought to life so beautifully through you. Believing anything is possible. Have a wonderful 2003. We hope to work with you and your great agent Stefi Sanev, partner Dan, Musical Director Michael Lavine and of course CHIP! Stay in Touch and keep shining like diamonds! You truly are a Gem! Best wishes for a healthy, happy and prosperous New Year. Jordana Fleischut General Manager Glove Theatre

Many, many years ago, I had the opportunity to see Caro lChanning perform in Hawaii. (Let me repeat, MANY.) You outdid her generosity in diamond size! I loved your show in P-town. The venue was intimate and the crowd was playful. I laughed continuously, of course, not while you were singing. I got lost in the make-believe. Thank you.

Hello Richard! My wife, Karen, and I saw your show Saturday night at The Glove Theatre and you were stunning - just like your namesake! We expected a first-class, professional production and you did not disappoint us. Congratulations to Lou Castiglione's Gem Jewelers for sponsoring the evening's festivities - and, oh yes, thanks for the autographed Carol Channing biography. Tom

Your performance at the historic Glove Theatre was so vibrant & spontaneous! I recently heard Carol Channing (I ALWAYS call her Carol!) in an NPR interview. She spoke of your creation of her in glowing terms. I see why!! Thank you for a fun & magical evening. The meet & greet after was very thoughtful. I am glad to have had the opportunity to meet you. It was also enjoyable to see how much you enjoy & value your audience. Best wishes for continued success.

Hosting Richard at my B&B during his performance here in St Petersburg, allowed me a unique insite into the warm, charming, and caring person behind the painted lady on stage. Thus I know, the warmth and love for the character on stage is from the inside and NOT part of the act. You were a treat to have here at Dickens House B&B. Thank you for the rose.....

What fun to experience your marvelous talent again at the past Sunday's Teddy Care benefit! It was fabulous to be part of your hilarious audience interaction, and amazing to watch and hear you, as always. May you have as much joy this holiday season as you give to us all.

I had the great treat when Richard as Carol Channing appeared at my 50th birthday charity party at the Plush Room a couple of years ago. Brilliant performance! This Monday, 12-9-02, I was blessed with an invitation to perform at the Richmond-Ermitt Aids Foundation Christmas Party fundraiser and among our many guests was the bright and shining star...Carol Channing, herself. To my great delight, she sang Hello Dolly to the room while my colleague Houston Allred and myself played for her. In my conversation with her I mentioned Richard's performance and she said "I love him, he's the best" and said what fun they had at the Gay Men's Chorus Show. She loves you Richard, We love you Richard....Richard Skipper truly IS Carol Channing on stage! The best always my love Robert

Dearest Richard... You canot imagine what a joy it was to work with you again--this time for the SHANTI benefit on Sunday night at The Plush Room. You are so gifted; you treat Carol Channing as a person, not as a caricature. I ought to know. Having worked with Carol in the original company of Lend An Ear, for me it was like looking into her face all over again. You're generous, kind and have such talent. The children of San Francisco General Hospital are over 125 teddy bears richer as a result of the Teddy Care show. It was wonderful to be a part of it with you. You never fail to amaze me!!! Love, Shelly
