Dear Richard, S-E-N-S-A-T-I-O-N-A-L is one one of the many words that come to mind when describing your performance on April 7th at The Academy of Music in Northampton to benefit the AIDS Foundation of Western, Mass,. Inc., (AFWM). Your Carol Channing is Flawless, and the two standing ovations you received from the most appreciative audience go far beyond any words I can say. THEY LOVED YOU!...and rightfully so. Richard, your talent is truly a gift and I want to THANK YOU very much on behalf of of the AFWM for sharing with us. The final figures are not tallied as of this writing, but I am certain we doubled last year's proceeds. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! In addition to the acclaim you received from the audience, the cast and staff are still singing your praises. You provided a most unforgetatable afternoon of joy. Wishing you continued success in all you do. You're simply brilliant. Fondish wishes and regards, Vickie Phillips Vice-President/Public Relations AFWM

Richard, your site looks great....and so do you. I sincerely hope that our guild will acquire artists of your caliber. I feel that the presense of topnotch female impersonators within our performing arts specialty is important, and should receive more recognition. We need to educate the public on the difference in gay bar "drag queen" lipsyncers and accomplished illusionists who can enhance any corporate theme or production. I do hope you'll join us and share this mission with me. Fil

I feel joyful just writing about Richard. Not only is he is one of themost talented and, certainly, the most uplifting female impressionist he would be any producer's dream towrk with. Richard has the ability to work both sides of his brain at the same time. He's creative and responsible. I'd work with him anytime. Bobbie Horowitz

The vocal group, Eastern Standard Time, of which I am musical director and performer, did a series of benefits last December. We asked many of our friends from cabaret to appear with us. Not only did Richard gladly agree to perform, he did so coming right from a plane! He had appeared in San Francisco and came right from the airport, luggage and all, to appear with us. He was, of course, a highlight of the show, and throughly enjoyed by all in attendance. Richard is not only a consumate performer, but a generous one as well.

Dear, dear Richard, It was a pleasure to work with you here in San Francisco at the GIVING BACK benefit concert with the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus. Having seen you at the Plush Room, I knew your performance would be great. The real bonus was getting to know that in addition to being a true entertainment professional, you are a kind, generous, funny and delightful person off stage. Working with Carol Channing is something the average showbiz type can only hope for. Working with two Carol Channings was an adventure I could not have imagined. I am grateful to both of my Carols for graciously contributing to a great night of musical entertainment and to helping Bay Area youth in need. Richard, I look forward to your speedy return to the City by the Bay and to many collaborations in the future. You are a treasure! Fondly, Robert Sokol Cabaret Columnist - "Intimate Acts"

Hi Richard/Carol, Just wanted to say it was a pleasure to share the stage with you on April 7th. The performance that day was a huge success and you were spectacular. Just wanted to let you know if you ever need a male back up dancer, I am available! My red glitter shirt would match one of your red sequin gowns. Hope to work with you again! Was wondering if chip was available for "Ragtime". Just thinking he might look great with me in that number. (ha, ha) Take care, Love, David.

Hi Richard. It worked this time! I just wanted to let you know again how wonderful I thought you were. I am so glad to have gotten the chance to meet you and share the stage with you. You definitely added alot to the show. My friends thought you were absolutely wonderful and enjoyed your performance so much. Maybe we will share the stage again someday. Until then. Good luck in all of your endeavors.

Whenever I have had the good fortune to experience Richard Skipper as Carol Channing I leave the room happier than when I arrived. It's joyful, artful, amazingly accurate work. Richard's ability to improvise with the audience as Carol takes my breath away, truly. I wonder if when Carol Channing is with Richard she questions if she is really she, or if he is really she!?

I first heard your interview on WJFF-radio in Jeffersonville, NY last summer. I thought it was the real Carol Channing at first! I know Carol Channing is funny, but I didn't know she was THAT funny. Anyway since then I have caught your act at Bradstans Hotel in White lake and Don't tell Mama in NYC. Do you have an email newsletter that keeps one informed on your latest schedule? Thanks!
