John Name: Mike Broad City: Windsor, Ont. Canada Sent: 04/05 2002 09:46 PM Saw you at the Casino in Windsor for about the 4th time. And in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania-all over.(Oh you gotta try Toronto; & Baltimore; I think you'll have fans there!). I've always liked Carol Channing and really enjoy seeing "her" onstage as "you"(or vice versa--your impersonation of her is remarkable!). Even though I know "you", I see "Carol" onstage in comedy and song. Next you must learn to jump on the xylophone and play as Carol did in "Thoroughly Modern Millie". Well, you just MUST!! With a hug, Mikey. Name: Steve Frey Sent: 04/05 2002 08:21 AM Richard, It is always a pleasure to see you perform. The likeness is amazing! I wish I could have seen you performing with THE OTHER Carol Channing in S.F. It must have been great. Keep up the good work. Steve P.S. Anyone reading this who hasn't seen Richard's performance -- Drop Everything and Go! Name: Kenny Fallin City: NYC Sent: 04/05 2002 07:23 AM RICHARD! I am still HIGH from your FANTASTIC show! WOW!WOW!WOW!....fella! It's artist like you that make it all worth while! You certainly know how to entertain and dazzle an audience. The energy level in that room was AMAZING! Richard Skipper is a first class performer, and you should feel very proud of the work you are doing. You did ask me if I felt the show was long. Fortunately, your material is so special and strong, you can always edit and still have plenty of powerful pieces to work with. I have always felt that it's better to "leave them wanting more". Your "sidekicks" were good, and you played off of them very well. I must admit that, in the past, I have felt a bit uneasy with audience participation. However, you make the entire experience so delightful and fun, I actually felt that the audience wanted to participate. I NEVER sing along, but when I saw your show I just couldn't help myself, I sang along and LOVED it! CAROL CHANNING has always been a big favorite, and I have seen her on stage, movies, television, and nightclubs. In my opinion, you have lovingly captured the wonderful and unique essence of this great performer. ...and then there is Richard Skipper...the person. It was great meeting and visiting with you last night. Your partner is also a very warm and friendly, not-to-mention... a HANDSOME fella! Please keep in touch. I am looking forward to seeing you in future shows...and I will bring people!!!
