Name: Robert Lukey City: Myrtle Beach SC Sent: 04/02 2004 10:05 AM We loved your show in Conway. It just proved that you can come home again! It was a justified triumph. Please make it an annual event. I hope you enjoyed the pictures I sent. Best wishes always! Name: Claudia J. McCollough City: Myrtle Beach, SC Sent: 03/30 2004 06:20 AM Dear Ricky, When a theatre experience suspends time and reallity, one knows that one has been dazzled. Dazzled is exactly the word I would use to explain my experience with Carol Channing, her music, her wit and you. Your work is so compelling that the knowledge of "that's really Ricky Skipper" left and I was totally immersed in the excitement and entertainment of Carol Channing. DAZZLED! It has been my pleasure to watch you evolve into such a talented and intelligent human. Thank you for including me in your trip. I feel very fortunate! Come back soon. Many hugs, Claudia Name: Heather Duke Homepage: http://www.rocklandartcenter.org City: Nyack, New York Sent: 03/29 2004 01:32 AM What a success you were last night!!! You keep getting more and more, better and better, I especially liked your dramatization at the end...everytime I see you, it's different. Everyone was talking about the performance. You're an absolute genius at involving audience. I loved every second. Thank you my dear...you make us all look good. Love, Heather Duke PRODUCER, CABARET SERIES ROCKLAND CENTER FOR THE ARTS WEST, NYACK NY Name: Ingrid Leacock Homepage: http://www.ingridleacock.com City: New York City Sent: 03/28 2004 06:21 AM Richard you are fabulous. Name: Martin Glick City: Pomona, NY 10970 Sent: 03/28 2004 05:35 AM Last night I watched a perfomance of Richard Skipper as Carol Channing. Or should I say Richard is Miss Channing. It is difficult to know where Richard ends and Miss Channing begins. He is witty, clever and abounds with energy. His singing voice is very rich and is very much the quality of Carol. I do not know how he does it. Magic!! Name: Celeste Simone City: NYC Sent: 03/28 2004 01:25 AM What a great night.... As always Richard takes me away. I did spend the evening with Carol Channing! Such integrity, class, humor, warmth and grace of spirit. Your sense of and for detail is a delight to watch. As a vocal teacher I am impressed with your tecnique and really terrific instrument. You made me laugh, you made me cry..... You are a true entertainer and there aren"t many around any more..... The show that I saw had an older audience and had such a way with them. I only wish there were more venues for performers like you.... A true teacher in the art of making people FEEL GOOD.... God bless and I know our paths will cross again.... YOU WERE WONDERFUL AND I HAD THE TIME OF MY LIFE. You are so talented. I asked you what makes a woman beautiful. I think I found out from you....even if you are a man. Charm and a fabulous smile are definately part of it with confidence and ELEGANCE...mixed in. I LOVED YOU!!!!!! I've told all my friends you go see you. LOVE YOU CAROL!! Linda Buset Name: Ralph Walton Sent: 03/20 2004 08:20 AM Richard: I have to share this with you. I was driving to a friend's house the other evening and flipped my radio dial to the local NPR affiliate in San Diego and heard that they were interviewing someone who sounded like Carol Channing. I immediately thought it was you! Well, it was Carol!!! This was the first time I heard her after I saw you last July and I have to tell you that you are by far the best Carol Channing ever. She is a national treasure and so are you! Name: Bobb ie Horowitz Homepage: http://timessquaregroup.org City: Manhattan Sent: 03/17 2004 05:21 PM Well - you should have been at WLIW the night they were raising funds using the Carol Channing/Pearl Bailey show. Carol was there. I volunteered to answer phones. 2 people pledged for the HIrschfeld of Carol , that Carol signed as well as Al. Both buyers (one of them me) said they bought it in honor of Richard Skipper. Carol was ecstatic! You've done so much for Carol's spirit. Her eyes lit up when we mentioned your name. You were the hit of the show, Richard!!!!!! Love you, Bobbie Horowitz Name: Vickie Byrd City: South Carolina Sent: 03/17 2004 03:48 PM Ricky, Richard, I can not begin to put into words how special last month was for me. You are such a brilliant, talented young man. I am so honored that I know you. I am also very proud of you for following your dream and using your God given talents. What a joy it was to watch you as Carol Channing! My girls, my mom and my sister enjoyed it almost as much as I did. Of course, they couldn't enjoy it as much as I, because they don't remember that tall, talented, skinny young man I knew years ago. You were such a joy to be around when you were young. I can tell you have carried that warmth, love and gentleness into your adulthood. Thank you for sharing last night with me. Thank you for letting me know about the performance. Thank you for the ring!!! I will treasure it, along with the pictures and the memory of you on stage as well as the memory of you in the Night of January 16th. I was proud of you then as I am now. I enjoyed meeting some of your friends and meeting Dan. I look forward to seeing you again. Please keep me posted on you and your life. Hold firm to your dreams, ambitions and goodness. I will keep you in my heart, my prayers and my memories. God bless you always and much love, Vickie Byrd - alias, Mrs. Russell.
