Richard Skipper's Carol Channing is a living doll. [He] engenders Channing with the youthfulness the almost-ageless trouper deserves. My own personal favorite segments of the show are those that display Skipper's quick wit and knowledge of his subject. [B]etween numbers, Carol chats with members of the audience, introducing one to another, quickly developing great rapport with the whole room. Skipper inhabits her with such breezy comfort, that we never feel he is imitating her. I didn't leave feeling I saw Richard Skipper as "Carol Channing," I left feeling I'd seen Carol Channing. Now that's really great impersonation!
