A SHORT BIOGRAPHY...RICHARD SKIPPER

    A SHORT BIOGRAPHY...RICHARD SKIPPER is the winner of the 2002 MAC (MANHATTAN ASSOCIATION OF CABARET) Award (his second win) and Backstage Bistro Award for Outstanding Achievement in Impersonation. He has been wowing audiences & critics alike around the country & Canada, most recently at Carnegie Hall , LATE NIGHT WITH CONEN O'BRIEN, AND CAROL CHANNING at THE PALACE OF FINE ARTS.

    Richard Skipper has brought his Amazing tribute to Carol Channing to Atlantic City with three long-running engagements (twice at Trump's Taj Mahal once at The Hilton) ; three engagements at CASINO WINDSOR in Windsor, Ontario, and The Windsor Hilton for their annual Christmas Party; Richard will be returning to CASINO WINDSOR in March for a three week engagement, other engagements include The Ice Palace on Fire Island (for which he won two Mikey Awards for best act on Fire Island AND set new attendance records.), WESTCHESTER BROADWAY THEATRE, THE BRADSTAN INN(also two engagements) GEORGIAN COURT COLLEGE (with Dody Goodman), and THE OCEAN'S INN in Provincetown, just to name a few. Richard Skipper has also performed at the request of Arlene Dahl, The Regent (special performance for Carol Channing!), Le Cirque for Joey Adams' 85th Birthday, on numerous occasions for Cindy Adams, and was a guest star in "The Impersonators" with Jamie deRoy at The Friars Club, & The New York Historical Society with Clare Bloom, Donna McKechnie, Hayley Mills, Tony Roberts, & George Shearing, and with The New York City Gay Men's Chorus & Sam Harris at Carnegie Hall.

    Richard Skipper often donates his time for benefit performances including fund-raisers for TOPA (TOWARDS OLDER PERSON AWARENESS) & Presbyterian Camp two of his favorite charities. In addition to the MAC Award, Richard has won THE BACK STAGE BISTRO AWARD, was named one of the top cabaret performers of the year by Cabaret Hotline and won the Leonardo daVinci Award for "Carol Channing's Broadway!"
