DANCERS OVER 40 PRESENT THE DANCERS OF GOWER CHAMPION
TV host David Hartman moderates Dancers Over 40's popular panel and performance series: In the Company of Friends: Dancers Talking to Dancers. This time the event features the dancers and creative teams of Director and Choreographer Gower Champion. DO40 members have worked with all the major choreographers on Broadway for over 50 years, but none as often as Champion. Dancers will be represented from 1951's Make a Wish to Gower's last show, 42nd Street. Featured are Marge Champion, Lee Roy Reams, Tony Stevens, Bob Fitch, Karin Baker, Gene Bayliss, Bert Michaels, Iva Withers, Lars Rosager, Johnny Nola, Ed Kresley, Nicole Barth and a special appearance by Richard Skipper as Carol Channing. There will be performances from Gower's major shows and two panels featuring the dancers and the creative teams involved with Gower in making his blockbuster hits (and a few misses!). COUNTY EXECUTIVE ARTS AWARDS
- The (Rockland) County Executive Arts Awards is an annual celebration of art and those create it in Rockland County, New York. The Arts Council of Rockland produces this program where awards are announced and presented, and local performers are featured. Tickets are $20.00 and may be purchased in advance from the Arts Council of Rockland (845-426-3660) or at the door. We are delighted to announce that Richard Skipper (a nominee in 2007) will perform at the 2008 ceremony.

DANCERS OVER 40 Celebrates a Wonderful Year
with an extra special Spring Fling. There will be wine, food and music, and some of the DO40 members will perform numbers from some of the past panels -- the 'Women of Fosse' (The Manson Trio from "Pippin"), the 'Men of Fosse' (George Marcy performing from "Damn Yankees") and the 'Dancers and Creative Talents of Gower Champion' (RICHARD SKIPPER AS Carol Channing performing from "Hello, Dolly!"). Admission is only $5.00 for members, $10.00 for FODO 40 members (Friends of Dancers Over 40 -the newest membership level and you can join now) and $15.00 for non-members. Those participating in the AIDS Walk and with tickets from the BC/EFA event of the day may pay the member admission fee of $5.00. The Arts Tour seeks to unite the towns of Asbury Park, Long Branch, and Red Bank in a weekend-long arts festival (June 6-8), where tourists will be encouraged to park in one city, then take the train to the other 2 cities to sample the culture in all 3. Each train station will serve as a welcome wagon/information booth and feature live entertainment. Pre-programming at the Stone Pony, The Saint, Paramount/Convention Hall, Wonderbar, Twisted Tree, Mattison Park and other venues will be included on the weekend map, supplemented by special events including public mural creations, theatrical performances, street musicians, and art shows.

The TriCity Arts Tour is a three-day "living exhibit" of all that's new and exciting under our sun and stars. So, whether you're a tourist or a townie, this is your chance to experience some culture "with the top down," here at the start of another event-packed summer season. We invite you to discover for yourself that the TriCity area is a place where arts and entertainment happen year-round - right in your own back yard!

Put on your Sunday clothes and head out to the Paramount Theatre. ReVision Theatre opens its premiere season with a special one night only performance of Richard Skipper as Carol Channing in Hello, Dolly! with Charles Karel (original HELLO DOLLY!) as Horace Vandergelder and Kristy Cates (WICKED) as Irene Molloy, directed by Thomas Morrissey and choreographed by Connor Gallagher. Music Director, John Fischer; Conductor, Joe Muccioli; Chorale Director, Marina Alexander; Assistant Director, David Tolles. The cast will include Broadway performers and local talent.

With music and lyrics by Jerry Herman and book by Michael Stewart, Hello Dolly! is one of the most popular musicals of all time. This touching musical is based on Thorton Wilder's The Matchmaker and is about Dolly Levi who puts herself up as a candidate for marriage when she falls in love with a wealthy businessman, Horace Vandergelder. With unforgettable songs (Before The Parade Passes By, Put on Your Sunday Clothes, and Hello, Dolly!) and unforgettable dancing, this musical will be fun for the entire family. It ran on Broadway for 2,844 performances at the St. James Theatre with Carol Channing in the title role. Carol Channing went on to perform Dolly Levi for the next 30 years becoming a staple in American Musical Theatre.

This performance will benefit ReVision Theatre's summer mainstage musical (which will be announced at the event).

ReVision Theatre is a non-profit 501(c)3 professional regional theatre company dedicated to producing invigorating theatre with a fresh new perspective reaching the diverse community of Asbury Park and Monmouth County. ReVision Theatre produces reinventions of previously produced classics, overlooked or forgotten work in a new way, and new work with a fresh voice. The company serves as a home for local artists and writers. ReVision Theatre also believes in the importance of theatre education and teaches children and adult theatre classes. ReVision Theatre produces readings, workshops, cabarets, concerts, and mainstage productions.

Miss Goodman's career spanned over 75 years: she began as a teen-aged ballet dancer, and became a popular Broadway, Off-Broadway, cabaret, radio, television, and film performer, remaining active in show business until she was in her 90's. Scheduled to share their memories are: George S. Irving, Richard Skipper, Lee Roy Reams, Mitch Douglas, Jeff Wolper, KT Sullivan (who will sing), and Linda Amiel Burns, among many others.
